About Jonathan

Jonathan P. Smith is a native Mississippian who has a life-long fascination with storytelling.  Jonathan has experience in film and digital photography, and received a MFA in Documentary Expression through Southern Studies at the University of Mississippi.  His work was featured in the juried Schwa Show in North Carolina, exhibited \in the Gammel Gallery on the campus of the University of Mississippi while a student, and displayed in various shows in North Carolina and Mississippi.  His work was selected as the winner of the 2024 Plein Air Invitational at Greenfield Farm in Oxford, MS.   Jonathan’s photographs have appeared in print articles and samples of his work are included in the collection of the Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany, Mississippi.
